We are particularly taken with the Accord’s driving dynamics, which transcend the ever-shrinking family-sedan class. Honda also nails the practical aspects; passengers enjoy plenty of space, the interior materials are handsome, and there’s lots of convenient in-cabin storage. The Accord’s tech and secondary controls are intuitive and easy to use.
Two powertrains are offered, and our preference is for the hybrid, which is found in all but the two lowest trim levels. It offers livelier acceleration and impressive fuel economy. We miss the turbocharged four-cylinder—and the manual transmission it could be paired with from not so long ago.
